Recovery (from Latin recovery) is the action and effect of recovering or recovering (return to itself or to a state of normalcy, return to take what was previously available, compensate).
Recovery, therefore, may be linked to the process that a person must take after a disease or injury to return to normal. During recovery, the subject must comply with medical instructions, which may include rest, medication intake or physical exercise, as appropriate. For example: "The striker tries to accelerate the times of his recovery to return to the courts before the end of the tournament", "The victim is out of danger, but the recovery will be extensive", “As part of my recovery, I must attend therapy twice a week”.
Another use of the concept refers to re-acquire what was had at some previous time and that, for different reasons, had been lost : "The recovery of stolen jewels required an important police operation", “The Government assured that it will do everything possible to achieve the recovery of the museum pieces”.
In this sense, we could talk about the recovery of driving license points. And, in many countries, each driver is awarded a series of points, which he will lose when he receives fines and other penalties for infractions committed against road safety.
This will mean that in order to have the same number of points as in the beginning, when you obtained the card, you will be obliged to carry out a series of training courses, where you will become aware of the importance of respecting the rules of circulation and of the danger that, both for him and for the rest of drivers and pedestrians, to skip them.
In this way, when taking that course you will obtain a certificate that you will present to the relevant administration and that will allow you to recover the points to be able to circulate perfectly complying with the law.
The data recovery or recover of information consists of putting digital files back into operation that had been removed from a computer or system .
At the school level, recovery is associated with the need to approve a matter or subject which has been failed in previous exams: "The recovery of chemistry will be very complicated", "If I fail to recover two subjects, I will have to repeat the year".
In the same way, there are several entities and organizations that make use of the term that concerns us to be called. Thus, for example, in Spain there is the Association for the Recovery of Historical Memory (ARMH), whose clear objective is to work for a real democracy.
Specifically, the members of that are trying to obtain justice for all those men and women who were murdered during the Civil War and the Franco regime for their republican ideas and that even today their relatives do not know where they are buried. In this way, they seek to put each one in his place and that the victims can be dignified.
